Photo a day
Autumn and conkers
Today I have made my Christmas cake ready for a weekly dose of brandy before I decorate it in December. I have never made one before so this is a bit of an experiment. Tony and I have bought a bottle of brandy goodness knows if it is a good one or not but the proof of the cooking is in the eating (is that right!!!!).
While the cake was in the oven cooking (3 hours can you believe) we went for a walk to the cemetery. As grim as that sounds it is a beautiful place to go for a peaceful walk. The conkers are all falling from the trees and the beauty of this place is that the local kids have not found them and trashed the trees to get them down. I took my macro lens for my iPhone with me and managed to get some lovely shots.
I am trying to enjoy this time of year but I am struggling a bit at the moment. Work has presented me with some challenges of late which have significantly stressed me out. I am trying to deal with them and little things like today help me calm down and get some perspective.
Anyhoo, must go to feed the cake. Pictures to follow

#FMSPhotoaday
For those of you who don’t know I have started doing the #FMSPhotoaday challenge. This can be found here and is really good fun. The 3 photos above are examples of what I have been taking pictures of lately. Join in guys no special equipment needed just a camera or a phone with a camera and a little bit of imagination.

Peony
I am still playing with the various photo editing apps that I have on my phone. My Peonies have bloomed and thankfully the wind has not whipped all the gorgeous petals off yet and neither have the heads all been ripped off by the school kids walking past my house.
This photo was edited in Snapseed and I REALLY REALLY like this picture.

FMSPhotoaday
A moment is the theme of todays FMSPhotoaday. I may be overthinking this photo a day thing but I felt like there was something I could get my teeth into today.
Define moment (Free Dictionary)
The wolf huffed and puffed ……
…….and the house of sticks fell down.
We have been for a walk today to King’s Wood nr Ashford in Kent. It was fairly bracing but very nice to see the sun and blow way the winter cobwebs.
Savannah had this idea to build a shelter from the wood she found. However, this was soon found to be fairly impractical so a small bridge over a large muddy puddle sufficed but such imagination bless her.
I hope you all had a lovely Easter and I hope that the sun continues and we soon get some warmth.

Ramsgate Harbour
Its pretty rough out there today! We have escaped the snow (so far!!!) but it is extremely windy. Not a nice day to work in the community eh!!! But the sunny days will make up for these when they finally get here.
I hope you are all nice and snuggled up warm

View from a bedroom window
Still playing around with long exposure shots. This is from my bedroom window. Sheer luck meant that i managed to get a half white line and half red line. I am really liking this type of photography

Pumpkins
I finally managed to get to take photos of the pumpkins in the field near where I live. The ground was quite wet as we have apparently had a little rain of late, so I did not get down on the floor like I might have done if it was drier especially as I was in decent clothes having just finished at work.
Anyhoo, this is my favourite picture I think. I am sure there are comments to be had about composition etc but I like this, no photoshopping just a little cropping and ta dah!!!
